our stay at the canberra was so pleasant! it was really quiet at night, which was great since we kept the windows open. the location is perfect for getting to the pleasure beach, and we loved the free parking. the owner was incredibly welcoming, and seeing the owl and the lizards on the property was an awesome bonus!

Perfectly located near attractions like the Pleasure Beach, making it a convenient base for families. Rooms, especially the family room, come equipped with essentials and are generally clean, providing a decent place to crash after a long day out.
The decor feels really old-fashioned, and the family room is on the smaller side, particularly the ensuite. Creaky beds, especially the kids' bunk beds, made for some restless nights, while outdoor seagulls had me counting sheep around 3 AM. the view from the window is less than ideal, overlooking an alley with some rubbish mixed in. There’s also a lingering odor that my daughter found particularly off-putting, adding to the discomfort when relaxing in the room.

Had a fantastic time with my friends—so close to the Pleasure Beach and the Promenade! The beds were comfy and the friendly vibe made it feel like home. Highly recommend the cooked breakfast and don't miss out on the water park nearby! Just make sure to reserve your parking ahead of time.
One downside was the towels. they could definitely do with an upgrade. Otherwise, we had a great stay.

super convenient location near the south pier, realy friendly hosts who were amazing with our kids. they even let us leave our car for extra day! the kids had a blast seeing the animals, and the bar area with pool and foosball kept them entertained. breakfast was great too, lots of options!
the floorboards in the room were pretty creaky which made us worried about bothering other guests. also, the toilet was a bit small.

Awesome stay with great hosts!
We spent 2 nights here and it was a blast! Room was super clean, just what we needed. Breakfast? So tasty! Pearl and Geoff were incredibly helpful. They even lent us a stroller for our little one when we forgot ours. Only thing that needed work was the Wi-Fi. it was a bit spotty at times.

Fantastic hosts and great location
We spent two nights in a double room and were greeted warmly by Pearl and Geoff, who made our stay feel like home. The location is just a short walk to the South Pier, making it perfect for our adventures. The room was comfortable and spotlessly clean, while the breakfast was a delightful way to start the day. the building could use some updating to enhance the overall experience.
